One of the earcly reasons I felt making this film was within reach was that I knew where to get the costumes…
I believed I had a wonderful vintage workwear shop, Moratoire, on board to provide us what we needed, but it’s become apparent that with the amount we’d have to pay, we’re probably going to be better off sourcing the clothes elsewhere. Along with Lena Periot, our costume designer, we are currently on a search that has us talking with vintage clothes dealers, clothes designers, film studios, journalists and a great number of other sources in China, Ukraine, New Zealand, Germany, the Netherlands, the U.S., France, Poland, England, Croatia, and The Netherlands. We’ve already made progress and have some great leads, to rent the clothes, or to buy new clothes that are in the old style, and have found plenty of individual vintage pieces or small batches of outfits, but we currently have our heart set on buying an old stock of identical 1950s factory outfits that were never used. Perhaps from a disused factory, or auction. While I know we'll find what we want, any new leads would be greatly welcome…
