We've been on the hunt for the perfect locations to shoot TRAUMA since September last year, and we are starting to narrow down our search. One can’t underestimate the importance of having great locations for this film. We are looking for an interior and an exterior of the factory. These will define the world that the film takes place in, set the mood. On the practical front, it needs to be in or near Paris, as our budget won’t allow us to transport and lodge crew elsewhere. And one way or another it needs to be available to shoot in and within our limited budget. Paris isn’t the first place one would think of to find a great industrial site, but we’ve found a few gems so far. We’re looking for our two locations to include:

 

For the exterior:

Industrial towers, an enclosed courtyard, steel & geometrical forms, something the boy can climb up, and possibly a roof he can run on for the chase scene, large wrought iron gates (though we could shoot these scenes at a third location)

 

For the interior:

A space that has a beautiful, iron beam supported roof, that has industrial equipment in place, or that would be feasible to transform into a factory with the right deco work. A furnace, if possible (but we could shoot this at another location).
